Almost a hundred kids have been preparing since weeks to be ready for the show on Tamil New Year evening celebration,Thursday 14th of April 2011, at the Sri Aurobindo Auditorium, Bharat Nivas, Pavilion of Indian Culture. Nine groups of children presented eleven performances to welcome the coming Tamil "Kara" year. Two devotional songs were song by children from Meera women's group and a live music was prepared by Balu for devotional purposes of the Mother to end the evening. February 28, 1968 on a barren plateau of South India, in the State of Tamil Nadu, 124 countries of the world participate in the inauguration of Auroville, a project to set up an international city based on unity of mankind. Tibet is also present. In the years to come, the link between the people of Tibet and Auroville will grow and become stronger. As it is already tradition, meditation with tea candles was prepared at Pavilion of Tibetan Culture - 1000 lamps for 1000 souls from all over the world. Tibetan monks throat chanting and chanting of Ohm Mani Pedme Hum gives an intense spiritual feeling. The light only from candles one the edges of the fountain and the building of the Pavilion illumines the whole event with magical touch, especially in the play of water and light at the fountain.
